RECIPE AIR
Deliciousness Within Reach.
Recipe Air is a recipe app integrated with a fully-fledged but super easy-to-learn gesture control system, allowing you to cook freely when navigating around recipes and tutorials in the kitchen without you ever having to touch the screen, while also losing no efficiency compared to a traditional way of touchscreen control in the process either.
Just Swipe, Point, Press, Drag and Drop. These few simple, natural and intuitive hand gestures are all you need to reach deliciousness. Cooking will never be the same again with Recipe Air.

Problem
Using a smartphone recipe app with dirty or wet hands can be frustrating and unhygienic, while a touchscreen may not be practical for users with certain disabilities or impairments.
How might we design a hands-free, gestural interface for a recipe app that provides users with a more accessible and hygienic way to interact with their devices in the kitchen?
This project aims to explore the potential of gesture-based interfaces for improving the usability and inclusivity of recipe apps, while addressing the challenges of using touchscreen devices in the kitchen environment.
